A House with a VR View

The future is nye. We all must keep up. Learning new technology will be a part of our daily lives. These were the words spoken when the year 2000 was rolling around. Experts talked about how in just a few years’ time, there would be a computer in every home. It did, in fact, become a reality. 89% of houses have some form of computer or another in them. It has even become a selling point for houses that there is a “home office” room. A place to put said computer, where, in comparison, houses of old had no such room. My question today is – is this the future of our households when it comes to virtual reality headsets? Right now, we put them on and play our games and the like in whatever room we are in. This is fine, most of the time, but we have all had the luxury of watching the home video of someone Kool-Aid man-ing the wall because they get lost in their VR. So, what if there was a room in our houses dedicated to the VR headset. It would be a completely empty room, lined with padding and set up with the best Wifi in the house so that people could use VR without any hesitation of bumping into things, wrecking walls, or worrying about disconnecting from the internet. I think it would be a great selling point for houses of the future. A 2 bed, 2 bath, VR room equipped house for only X amount of dollars. Sure, we will still port our VR headsets around when necessary like laptops and smartphones of today, but we will be able to play uninterrupted in our special room fully immersed in that weird walk the plank game. But that is just one man’s opinion. Thanks for listening to me ramble. I appreciate it. See you next time.
